Since our first event in 2022, when we were thrilled to rehome 22 bikes,
Shifting Gears/Gifting Gear has experienced incredible growth.

In April 2025, that number soared to 105+ bikes
—over 2,000 lbs. of equipment—
alongside an entire gym’s worth of sporting gear.

We are so proud of how this community has embraced the mission of giving recreational equipment a second life.
By keeping these items out of landfills & clearing out garage clutter, we aren’t just saving families money;
we’re conserving the raw materials and energy required to manufacture new gear & actively promoting a circular economy.
